Furnace & Ancillary Equipment Design & Install

Furnishments for a Furnace

REDD provided detail engineering for a time-critical installation of glycol & nitrogen systems for a refinery’s new furnace and followed the project through to completion of construction.

Furnace & Ancillary Equipment Design & Install

A client approached REDD initially for support on the impending installation of equipment for a new furnace. However, REDD was soon asked to handle the whole detail design of the ancillary systems, including P&IDs, foundations, piping, and controls.

REDD designed the systems to integrate the new equipment, which included glycol storage, nitrogen generation, and a cooling tower, into the existing facility and process.  During the design phase, compatibility issues were identified with the equipment selection. REDD provided recommendations accordingly, which helped to avoid several costly setbacks.

Because of REDD’s knowledge of the process and experience in construction management, the client further extended the scope to support the coordination of the construction phase and manage contractors. REDD was able to respond quickly to last-minute changes and construction challenges to deliver a fully functional process.
