Jet Fuel Storage Tank Repairs

Bringing New Life to Military Assets

REDD provided construction management services to repair and modernize an aging Jet Fuel Storage Tank at an Air Force Base in North Dakota.

Jet Fuel Storage Tank Repairs

The Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota has a 22,000 barrel Jet Fuel Storage Tank that was constructed in the 1950’s which, upon an API 653 inspection, required multiple repairs and modifications before it could be brought back into service. REDD was selected as the general contractor to repair the storage tank in accordance with API standards and military specifications, as well as to assist the base in bringing the tank back into service.

REDD selected and managed all the subcontractors for the project, including Barclay Mechanical for the welding repairs, Petrochem for the sandblasting and coatings, and a specialty subcontractor to replace the internal floating roof seals.  REDD was always on site ready to solve any unforeseen issues during construction as well as uphold our standards of safe work practices, which is evidenced by our impeccable safety record.

REDD successfully completed the project under budget within a tight construction schedule.  Due to the success of this project in terms of quality and performance, REDD made a new long-lasting partnership with a large government Prime Contractor and have since successfully performed multiple other projects with them.
